Could there be a better place to host a grand jubilee Gathering of Stars than the city that gave birth to Nicolaus Copernicus, the greatest astronomer of all time?
However, Toruń is much more than just Copernicus’ birthplace. It is one of the oldest cities in Poland, with nearly 800 years of rich history and an exceptional collection of architectural landmarks. In 1997, Toruń’s Old Town was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and its famous panorama viewed from the opposite bank of the Vistula River — often called the Queen of Polish Rivers — was named one of the Seven Wonders of Poland (in a nationwide poll organized by Rzeczpospolita daily).
Among the city’s highlights are numerous outstanding Gothic buildings, including the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus, a monumental medieval Town Hall whose design symbolically refers to the Gregorian calendar and which houses one of the oldest museums in Poland, as well as the famous Leaning Tower of Toruń, with an inclination greater than that of its counterpart in Pisa.
It is precisely in this historic riverside setting that the Stars Parade and the exhibition of 140 carefully selected Mercedes-Benz vehicles from nearly the entire production history of the brand will take place, marking the grand finale of our Gathering.
Each year, Toruń hosts thousands of cultural and sporting events, including film and music festivals as well as prestigious international sports competitions, including World and European Championships in Olympic disciplines.
Thanks to its many attractions, the city welcomes approximately 2–2.5 million tourists annually, with a steadily growing number of international visitors.
Come to the Gathering and discover our exceptional city!
